First of all, let me start by apologizing for the lack of posts lately... our internet has been (mostly) down for the past month thanks to a storm damaging our area's tower.... it has been extremely frustrating to say the least, but it is working this afternoon.. yay! I have been in blogger withdrawls!!!
Lucas has been recovering from a double ear infection and what I think was tonsilitis... which he has now given to me. :0( But, thankfully, we are both on the mend.. just in time for school to start back. It is so hard to believe that it is that time again. It seems that it always sneaks up on me in the end... but, I know how lucky I am to have my summers off with my big man and I have truly cherished each day! He has grown so much in these few weeks... it is exciting and sad all at the same time! Sometimes I just want him to stop and stay just the way he is forever and ever. :o) He is still not showing a lot of interest in crawling, but his legs are getting so strong and I am positive that pulling up is in the very near future. He is also "patting cakes"... when David or I sing the song, L claps his hands along with us. So precious! His smile is even more heart melting now that his bottom teeth are becoming more visible (I am still trying to capture them on camera). Life is so good! I don't know what we ever did before we had a baby! :o)
Lucas stayed with Mrs. Penny a couple of days this week while I did some prep work in my classroom. He is transitioning well. The first morning was a little rocky... he had gotten used to the "quiet" mornings with Mommy, so the noise level with the other children was a little bit of an adjustment, but by the afternoon Penny said he was doing great. Lucas just loves her and she loves Lucas... we are so blessed to have such a wonderful person keeping our little angel!
We are looking ahead to another hectic week... pre-planning starts on Tuesday and school starts on Friday! At least L and I can lay low and enjoy our last day together on Monday before the whirlwind begins!
